About Us: 

The Foster School of Business offers three top-ranked Specialty Master’s Programs in Information Systems (MSIS), Business Analytics (MSBA), and Supply Chain (MSCM). All programs are a 12-month STEM-designated program designed to develop advanced analytical, technical, and strategic thinking skills to drive innovation with organizations. Taught by leading faculty and industry experts, these programs include in-person evening and weekend classes for working professionals in the Pacific Northwest’s tech hub, Seattle, WA.

The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program is designed to equip students with the technical and managerial skills needed to excel in the rapidly evolving field of information systems. This program blends cutting-edge technology with real-world business applications, covering topics such as data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Students in the MSIS program learn how to tackle business problems through IT based solutions. The MSIS program prepares students to become leaders in managing and implementing advanced information systems in a variety of industries.

The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) offers a curriculum that equips students with the skills to transform data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. In just one year, our graduates walk away with the business knowledge and analytical skills necessary to develop effective strategies and recommendations for business intelligence. The program combines advanced technical training in data analysis, programming, machine learning, and statistical modeling with business-focused courses in strategy, operations, and management. This program is ideal for those looking to advance in the fast-growing field of business analytics, bridging gaps between data science and business.

The Master of Supply Chain Management (MSCM) prepares supply chain professionals to manage supply chain complexity, adapt to the changing landscape, and gain a competitive edge in their careers. MSCM will help enhance your business skills, decision-making capabilities, and knowledge of information technology needed to oversee the flow of goods. You will learn to analyze data effectively, build decision models, and master all steps in sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management activities.

Preferred Skills: 

MSIS: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data-networking (IS proficiency areas: Object Oriented Environments, Databases, Data-Networking)
MSBA: Linear algebra, Multivariable calculous, statistics, probability. Programming exposure is preferred but not required - Microsoft excel, Python, R, SQL (Adjacent: data visualization tools are a plus but not required e.g. Tableau)
MSCM: Data Analytics (excel, Python), Supply Chain management Tools (SAP, Oracle), Big Data Management, Quantitative Modeling, Operations and Process Optimization
